Best vocal mic under $1000 - perhaps this is a tired topic, but my searches didnt bring up too much. right now my setup is a digi 002 r into a mac. i use a tc electronic gold channel, which is really digital, but ill be dammed it can produce some kill I think you should go for the neumann tl103 but also consider audio technica 4033 or 4050. Tc electronic gold channel - hi i have an oppurtunity to pick one of these up for 750 bucks in perfect shape. i have never heard one before and will not really have a chance to try it. i am looking for another pre to go with my m5 and this will give I own the tc electronics, and i will try and be as objective as i can. first off, this is my main outboard pre right now, and i use it faithfully.
