I feel like an idiot
but i cant get my computer to recognize that i have a midi enabled instrument plugged into my us-122 (tascam usb instrument interface)

I have just tried goldwave to to do a live recording using a tascam us 122 and dell inspiron 510 laptop. The recording has skips and jumps every few seconds, what should i be looking at?

If your software has softsynths
then it might be easier and better to igrore the electric piano for now and get a usb keyboard /controller.

I'm using my sony laptop with the following stuff just to layer down demo band tracks:
tascam us-122 external soundcard connecting via usb. (pretty small i just keep it in my laptop bag).

I did a dumb thing - i updated to vista without checking if my tascam us-122 was compatible with vista. it isn't.
