Macbook pro duo... recording software? - i will be reciving my macbook pro soon and would like to know which software to run my tracks on. i have a tascam us-122 usb interface and will be doing lots of layering with midi files, guitars, bass, vocals etc. Currently the only native audio apps are garage band3, logic express & pro 7.2. Home project studio- multitracking, interfaces, and monitors - hi guys -- our band is going to be recording a cd at home. i have a tascam us-122 audio interface on a windows system. we just bought a set of drum mics, and i have a few questions. the If you're going to be doing a lot of recording at home, you might as well upgrade to something with enough xlr inputs, like a boss br1600 (8 xlr ins.) it's just a suggestion- if you need to record 7-8... More equipment to get... - hi everyone, this my first post, i hope i'm not too much of a newbie to you... ok here's the deal: i have the tascam us-122, which is pretty nice for recording guitar and voice but due to whatever reason sucks ass with midi. If your software has softsynths then it might be easier and better to igrore the electric piano for now and get a usb keyboard /controller. however a cheap game port adapter lead should be cheap and might be a good start.... Laptop recording - you play a double-reed... you are a much braver person than i. skip the card bus option and go with usb. the tascam us-122 is good because it comes with a basic version of steinberg cubase (cubasis) that has quite a few things to I'm using my sony laptop with the following stuff just to layer down demo band tracks: tascam us-122 external soundcard connecting via usb. Tascam - i bought the us-122 as an open box for $179. i have laptops (dell 1.7ghz centrino/1 gig ram and an ibook g4 new) i installed the tascam drivers on my dell and the laptop went belly up. i am very experienced with drivers/installs etc and i I've had a brief experience with the us122 i was setting up for a friend. i would recommend staying away from this unit, or any other usb audio device. opt for something in a similar price range thats... Audio interface to replace a tascam us-122? - basically i sold the tascam and bought an edirol ua-25. the us-122 didn't have digital ins and outs...and the ua-25 does... so i can get a decent ad / da converter now.
