Rme vs echo and emu - thanks again. i just checked out the m-audio, and it seems it only has 4 ins and outs. i would like a lot more ins if poss...an additional adat interface holds an attraction for me since i own an adat and can use it as a breakout box

What to get next, better 8ch preamp or better stereo preamp - i'm wondering what the next buy would be for my studio.. here's my setup: pentium iv 2,4ghz win 2000 pro 1 gb ram 120gb disk rme multiface behringer ada8000 8channel pre amp w adat

Get the neumann, that will improve your vocal sound a lot right there. i don't know if the octapre will sound that much better than the behringer 8000 though....
