I purchased an rme hammerfall & multiface i/o box combo from audiomidi.Com here in the us a while back.

If you had a usb 1.1 port - you would certainly expect those kinds of issues (usb 1.1 is pure crap). usb 2.0 is plenty fast for multiple tracks, but i also prefer firewire as long as your system... Forum: recording.org - From: bigtrey - Date: tue mar 07, 2006 9:54 am |

i'm visiting frankfurt in a month, needing to get myself an i/o expansion for my system (luna 2 card).

There is a buffer section in the sync control panel iirc (the ''hammer'' icon in the system tray). you can select 1ms, 3ms, 6ms, etc, etc in the upper left corner. when tracking i use the multiface's hdsp... Forum: recording.org - From: lebus44 - Date: sat apr 30, 2005 5:13 am |

Hi new user here.
just got the proteus x today and so far i'm a happy camper. Plan to run it alongside a setup with rme hdsp multiface and 2 uad-1 cards.
so far, so good....(so what?)

i have now 2 sounds cards because of the one i had to install for the proteus x ...
1) rme hammerfall multiface (pci and breakout box 8 in 8 out)

Imho,
sounds like you've got clocking issue with the rme. Are you monitoring playback with external clock/sync?
