Firewire 800 transfers at 800 mbps.
firewire 400 (the old standard) transfers at 400 mbps.
usb 2.0 transfers at 450 mbps.

rme hammerfall dsp digiface

Usb is not that reliable for external hard drives when dealing with audio..Your best bet is to either do what adk recommended by getting a carbus firewire card or get yourself an rme audio card that connects to a cardbus... Forum: recording.org - From: wilycaw - Date: mon aug 01, 2005 9:41 pm |
