Have i been sleeping?

I just realized genelec has discontinued their 1030 and 1031 models, and replaced them with the models 8040 and 8050. This is new to me, and since i love genelecs i'm a bit worried about this. Have you heard these...

Monitors : genelec 8050 vs. jbl lsr 28p - me, big fan of genelecs 8000 series... great gear!, then again whatever bob katz or any of us says, specially when it comes to monitors, try to go out with your fave material on cds and listen / compare for yours

Haven't tried those genelecs but the jbl's are great, i hear the newer lsrs are even better...

Monitors : genelec 8050 vs. jbl lsr 28p - any reason you're limiting your options to those two? id not rule out other offerings, such as dynaudio bm5a or bm6a's.

Haven't tried those genelecs but the jbl's are great, i hear the newer lsrs are even better...

Monitors : genelec 8050 vs. jbl lsr 28p - i have tried the genelecs and found them hyped in the high end. really crispy sounding. but then, i like the 20/20bas, so you know where i'm coming from.

Haven't tried those genelecs but the jbl's are great, i hear the newer lsrs are even better...

Monitors : genelec 8050 vs. jbl lsr 28p - hello anybody can tell something about those two systems ? bob katz wrote in his book, the jbl lsr are very good and linear. a friend told me the genelecs are the best. thank you for answers. walter

Best monitors for dance/electronic - i am thinking of getting some new monitors to replace my genelec 1029+sub and i am looking for suggestions. my room is 11wx12l x10h and i have a moderate amount of bass trapping ie: 4inch rockwool in the corners wh

Do you have the old sub version, i think it was called 7509 (sorry don't know the excact no.) they have improved the subs a lot!!! however i think genelecs are great specially for dance stuff... check out the 8040's or 8050's,...

Wowowwwwwwwwwwwwwww - or maybe i just listened to alot of hi-end gear since i was a kid so i know what a speaker sounds like when it's truly flat...... genelec have never produced a speaker with a flat response! and i'm not talking taste here.... a

Wowowwwwwwwwwwwwwww - got to hear the 8050 and the others in the genelec demo romm at aes. i liked them, like them a lot. the bass seemed tigher than on the 1031's i own and use and i thought they were as good. i certainly have no plans to get rid of 10
