Need more ins - i currently own an fw1884 that i use with digital performer. i also have a vf160 digital multitracker from fostex. each have lightpipe (adat) ins and outs. i was wondering if i could use the ins on the vf160 in conjunction with fw-1884

Computer for recording - for years now i've been using a stand alone multi-track deck, a fostex vf160 for all my recording, and before that, i had, (and still do,) a yamaha md8. both of these machines do a marvelous job of digital multi-track recording

You need a soundcard with multitrack options like motu 828 mkii or the protools digi 002 or whatever... cubase and so on are programs that let you record multitrack! it depends on the soundcard and it's ins! i really like the motu...
