Hallo ik heb pas een recording studio gekocht(fostex fd-4) en daar heb ik een iomega zip 250(scsi) bij gekocht voor de opslag. nu lees ik in de handleiding dat ik daar ook een scsi terminator op aan moet sluiten.. Is dat nodig...

Midi stands for musical instrument digital interface. it's a language musical devices use to communicate. in your situation, you would use another midi device (such as a midi foot controller) to change programs and parameters on your pod...

What is a mixer for? - what is a mixer for? i have a fostex digital multitrack (fd-4) and i was just wondering what the advantage of a mixer is? i see huge ones in 'real' recording studios? what are they connected to? i am guessing not a multitrack...

Usually in a pro studio, the acoustic sounds (vocals, guitars, drums, pianos...) are miked and that signal is sent to some sort of multitrack recorder (with more tracks than the one you have). Once recorded, the signal is played back...

Sequence ur instruments first on a software-based multitrack recorder....

Trying to improve my setup...advice needed! - hi, i have a fostex fd-4 that can do 2 simultaneous 24 bit tracks, and i'm borrowing another to give me a total of 4. inevitably, i'll have to give the other back, but i'm not looking forward to the prospe

Take a look at rme stuff that work with a pci card! if you have usb 1 forget about usb!...
