Hi, first time post...
have been using the plug in version of melodyne for a little while now, on logic pro 7.2.3 on my mbp c2d 17''. love it, works great.
however...

Not sure, i have logic express, i do know that you can select a group of regions, and move them to a track to a specific point on the timeline.

you know, some coreaudio drivers includes apple's built-in io for intelmacs provide drivers for input/output separately.
these three coreaudio devices are found on macbook pro.
built-in mic
built-in input
built-in output

Sounds like you have cycle record engaged, in the timeline do you see a grey bar that is the same leangth as your recording?
search on cycle record in the online help for details, i'm currently not at my mac.

i changed the 160gb hard drive to 100gb so that it will be 7200rpm insted of 5200rpm...
also i got the screen not glossy....
